The Wind Wizard™ reads wind speed in miles/hour, meter/seconds, and
Beaufort. Readout dial is supported on sapphire jewel bearings and
steadied by a rare-earth magnetic dampening system. Folding handle
quickly and securely latches into place. No batteries needed.
The Beaufort wind scale was first used in the early nineteenth century
by the British Navy. For every number on the scale, there is a
descriptive terms such as light air, strong breeze, fresh gale, etc.
